BEING CONFIDENT IN A 'GEEK SOCIETY'

The one thing that i have learned being in a class full of geeks is that, geeks lacks confidence.They are scared in every mode of their life. They are scared when they are sitting in class,they fear that one moment of carelessness may cost them a mark for the exams, they fear that not laughing on teachers bad jokes makes them fugitives (when do you guys understand that bad jokes are not worth your laugh).We will find them working damn hard to submit assignments on time (guys one mark less on assignments can be made up in the internal exams,but who am i talking to?) ,we will find them dying to revise the chapters before internals (Hello! there is something known as externals and it holds double the mark of the internals) ,we will find them taking continuous night outs for externals (there must be some rule that specifies the compulsory use of supplementary exams ;take care of your health damn it..).In every single step we will find their lack of confidence.But then what is the use of confidence in this society.We are confident to score more internal marks when we submit the assignments late ,we are confident to score more externals marks when we are under for the internals, we are confident enough to skip the externals to write the supplimentaries. Yet does anyone adore us for our confidence,'No'.Teachers call us dumbos ,geeks call us lazy.But are we lazy,for those who call us lazy let me ask you one question ,do you guys know true meaning of the word confidence??. But we don't blame anyone because ignorance is not a mistake .We wait ,we wait confidently for our moment of triumph, hoping it wont keep us waiting for long,.

P.S. Can somebody tell me how to reduce this so called confidence.
